Surprise B'Day Party

This post is for all those surprise-breakers who have enriched their friend’s B’Day memories.

Feb 20th, 10:30 A.M.

It’s my room mate, Ms. M’s B’Day on Feb 21st. And as always, we decided to order cake for her and give her a surprise party at 12 in the night. Ms. T (a room-mate) orders a beautiful cake for her at our office bakery.

Feb 20th, 4:30 P.M.

Our mutual friend, Ms. L goes to the office canteen and finds the cake that was ordered for our room-mate. Ms. L literally bangs her head on to the pillar for forgetting Ms. M’s B’Day. With much guilt and apprehension, Ms. L comes back to her cubicle, calls up Ms. M and says,”Happy B’Day Dear Friend! So sorry I forgot your birthday”. Ms. M, happy for the fact that her friend remembered her B’Day, even though 1 day earlier, replies, “Hey! Don’t worry. My B’Day is actually tomorrow.”

So at this stage, what do we all expect from Ms. L? We all expect a rephrased version of her B’Day Wishes like “Happy B’Day in advance.”

But here goes Ms. L, “Then why is your B’Day cake ordered for today?” To which the B’Day girl, Ms. M replies, “My room-mates would have ordered for tonight’s celebration. Thanks a lot for informing me about the party too,in advance.”

Nice party, you should have told the bakery to keep it separately and not to display it... :-)

Too humurous and very well written.

Nice way to inform someone about their planned B'Day bash in advance... :-)
